Celebrating 100 Years – St. Charles Chamber Charlemagne Awards Dinner
Batavia Enterprises was honored to be part of the 100th Charlemagne Award Dinner on Friday, May 13th at the Q Center in St. Charles. Not only are the Batavia Enterprises Brands all huge supporters and Champion Partners of the St. Charles Chamber but we were thrilled to be the Giveaway Sponsor on such a monumental evening.
The 1920 Great Gatsby themed Centennial Event was perfectly decorated and made you feel as if you stepped back into the prohibition era. From the historical photos to the whiskey pull and band there was much thought into planning this event.
The Charlemagne Award honors the lifetime achievement for an individual who has dedicated their time, efforts, and talent to making the community the great place it is today and demonstrates the very spirit behind the Legend of Charlemagne. This story was written by the mayor of St. Charles , C.V. Amenoff, who served from 1969-1973.
The legend reveals that Charlemagne left his four sons as guardians of St. Charles, to see that this city becomes a community where people could live, raise a family, work, have a business, be educated, worship and play. These four sons of Charlemagne are now represented on the Main Street Bridge, monumental guardians of this community.
We applaud the very deserving Centennial Charlemagne Winner Mr. Ray Rogina. His many years of service in St. Charles first as an Educator in the St. Charles School District and then his many years on City Council followed by his serving as Mayor for eight years as well. Mr. Rogina’s contributions to the City of St. Charles extend far beyond this and we thank his
To coincide with the 1920’s theme whiskey pull, Batavia Enterprises gave away a branded whiskey glass for all the attendees to take home. In addition to the glass, Batavia Enterprises wanted to give back to the business owners and members of the Chamber by having a fun promotion for one lucky winner.
Our $500 Fill Up promotion was inspired from an idea to help people fill their stomachs and fill up at the gas pump while supporting St. Charles Chamber members and businesses. This giveaway included a $200 dollar gift card to the Beautiful Graceful Ordinary in Downtown St. Charles and a $300 dollar gift card to The Pride Stores of St. Charles that can be used for Fuel, which everyone can use these days, or at their other businesses including 93 Octane Brewery, Urban Counter and the Pride Liquor Store! Thank you so much to Pride supporting this and for donating to this giveaway as well!
Our lucky winner was pulled Friday, May 20th and we are thrilled to announce Joesph Spero from AAA. Congratulations and wishing you a wonderful evening out at Graceful Ordinary and the ability to “Fill Up” at any of the St. Charles Pride Stores including the BP Gas Station, 93 Octane Brewery, Urban Counter and the Pride Liquor Store.
