For the third consecutive year the Batavia Community Dinner sold out quickly!
Austin Dempsey, CEO of BEI Properties, Presents Batavia MainStreet Donation from Community Dinner at Batavia City Council Meeting
Two hundred Batavia community members gathered for a farm-to-table dinner set up in the middle of River Street in downtown Batavia on Sunday, August 5th, and it was a fantastic event! Batavia MainStreet and Austin Dempsey, from BEI Properties who was the Community Dinner Sponsor, presented a $10,096.76 dollar check to the Batavia Interfaith Food Pantry and Clothes Closet during the Batavia City Council Meeting on Monday, September 24th from the Community Dinner. This donation exceeded the previous donation of $7,000 donation collected at the 2017 Community Dinner Event.
The food was provided by Pal Joey’s, River’s Edge Bar & Grill and Gaetano’s. These restaurants bought their ingredients from the Batavia farmers market where the food is locally sourced. Local wine was bought from Aquaviva and Energy City Brewing donated their beer. All the restaurants who donated their time, talent and products along with Batavia MainStreet, have made this event a huge community success.
BEI Properties and Miscella Real Estate were happy to sponsor of such a wonderful event to benefit Batavia’s local food pantry. Batavia Interfaith Food Pantry and Clothes Closet’s purpose is to serve the needs of our community. Those who have lost a job, are underemployed, disabled, homeless or just have a need may come to the pantry for food and household supplies. This is a very helpful organization for those in need or who have fallen on hard times. Helping others and supporting one another is a trait the community of Batavia does very well.
